This symposium will take place February 14 - 19, 2010 in Bremen, Germany, and is organised by the SPP1386 "Nanostructured thermoelectrics" in collaboration with the German Thermoelectric Society. The Free and Hanseatic City of Bremen is well-known for its rich history as a center of trade and travel. The Youth Hostel offers the possibility to stay the night in their river boat for guests "Die Weser". A visit in The Universum Bremen, which turns science into an adventure or a trip to Bremerhaven will be only two rewarding excursion destinations.
The purpose of this international school is to strengthen the scientific community focusing its research on the efficiency of thermoelectric energy conversion. The Winter School is particularly meant for young researchers e.g. Ph.D. students and postdocs and will provide a venue for presentations on the latest advances on thermoelectric nanostructures, materials and measurement techniques, as well as various theoretical aspects.
