Lübeck

A day-trip took the participants to the old Hanseatic city of Lübeck that is listed as part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.

The guided tour started at the famous Holstentor, a more than 500-year-old brick gate. The participants saw the salt storehouses, the town hall, the church St. Marien, the alleys and courtyards in the so-called Gängeviertel and the historic charitable foundation Heiligen-Geist-Hospital that is one of Europe's oldest social institutions.
